The Rising Hatred Of Jesus In America

There Is A Rising Hatred Of Jesus Christ!

From the printed page, movies and television, to public schools and the corporate work environment, Jesus is being shown the door.

It wasn’t always this way. America’s founding father, Patrick Henry, declared “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

7 Reasons Why Jesus is Hated

1.People Hate Jesus Because Of The Cross.

The main reason Jesus is hated is the silent rebuke of the Cross. People who are proud at heart do not want to confess they are sinners on a collision course with the Judgment of God. The Cross makes men angry because it robs them of their ability to fix “with their hands” what only the Cross of Jesus can correct.

“For the message of the Cross is foolishness, to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (I Cor. 1:18)

2. Jesus Is Hated Because Of His Purity.

“The world…hates me, because I testify of it, that’s its works are evil.” (John 7:7)

3. Jesus Is Hated Because Men Love Darkness Rather Then Light.

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone that doeth evil hates the light, neither comes to the light lest his deeds should be reproved; But he that doeth truth cometh to the light that his deeds may be manifest that they are wrought in God.” (John 3:19-21)

4. People Hate Jesus Because They Cannot Serve Two Masters.

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one, and despise the other.” (Matthew 6:24)

5. Men Hate Jesus Because He Robs Them Of Their Ability To Be Self-Sufficient.

Pride destroys. The cross of Christ forever documents the impossibility of man to fix and heal his fallen condition. Listen to the political speeches of leaders all across the globe and there will always be a familiar tone to these speeches: “Look what we’ve done… We had a high crime rate, but we brought it down. There was famine and hunger, but we have responded with aid.” Etc Etc. While man should always work to serve and meet the needs of his neighbor, at the end of the day the cross is a glaring reminder that “without me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

6. Men hate Jesus because they are of their father the devil.

Genetics matter! As a man is prone to think like his earthly father, so will those who have never been born again think as like their spiritual father…Satan hates Jesus.

7. Society hates Jesus because they know He is right.

“But this comes to pass that the word might be fulfilled, that it is written, in their law, they have hated me without a cause.” (John 15:25)

We have been sent to reach a world that is more and more deceived by the day.

“Satan, whose is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those whose don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News.” (2 Cor 4:4)

The Church has been given the greatest privilege…and the greatest responsibility. To reach this lost generation with the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! If we fail in this, we have failed in everything.

Millions are going to hell all around us. Does this bother us anymore?

If we really love Jesus, the proof is we obey Him!

Jesus loves the lost! He aches for their salvation.

I think it’s time EVERY Christian in the American Church got serious again about reaching them.

What do you think?

The Lord is watching and waiting for our response.
